Welcome to Maryland University of Integrative Health's online scholarship application.

We have provided some helpful tips about this online application that will assist you as you complete it. 


  • You can begin working on the application and choose to finish it later by clicking "Save my progress and resume later" You will be prompted to enter an email and create a password. 

  • If you have application requirements to upload, you will submit the application first and then enter the Application Status Page to submit your required documentation.

  • After submission you will receive a verification link to verify your electronic signature, followed by a link that will allow you to return to your Application Status Page. Save this link to refer back to later. 

  • Acceptable document formats: Microsoft Word and PDF.

  • All information is transmitted securely through this form.

  • Multiple scholarships can be applied for within this application.

Essays

For best consideration, comply with the General Guidelines and Content Requirements for your essay.

General Guidelines

Submit an essay that is:
  • Approximately 500 words in length
  • Your own, original work. If citing materials, kindly use the citation and reference format of the American Psychological Association in your essay.
Content Requirements

Please address the following in your essay:
  • Why are you deserving of the scholarship(s)?  Please include any examples of how a scholarship would be helpful to you in the upcoming trimester or year.
  • How do you intend to use your education upon graduating from your program?  What service do you plan to bring to the world as a result of your studies?

MUIH Diversity Grant Requirements

Grant Criteria & Requirements

Must be from the following underrepresented racial/ethnic or gender minorities: 

  • Black or African American
  • Native American or Alaska Native
  • Hispanic or Latino
  • Pacific Islander
  • Asian
  • LGBTQ or Gender Non-Conforming
Student must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.  Please see details in the University's Student Handbook.

Student must demonstrate financial need by submitting the current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Student must enroll and register for a minimum of 6 credits each trimester.

Essay & Letter of Recommendation:

  • A letter of recommendation from a school official, teacher, member of a community organization, or an employer emailed to financialaid@muih.edu, by the scholarship deadline.
  • A 200-400 word essay describing how the perspective you have gained as a member of a community that has historically been underrepresented in the fields of integrative health will contribute to serving the MUIH community and the greater community upon graduation.

Kathleen Warner Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria & Requirements

  • Students must have at least 75% of their program curriculum completed
  • Student must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.  Please see details in the University's Student Handbook.
  • The student is a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen or international
  •  Students must enroll and register for at least 3.0 credits to be eligible for this scholarship.
      1. The only exceptions are: a) there are less than 3.0 credits available due to the course schedule for the upcoming trimester, or the student has less than 3.0 credits needed for program completion.
Essay:

A 200-400 word essay answering the following questions:
  • How do you intend to use your education upon graduating from your program? 
  • What service(s) do you plan to bring to the world resulting from your studies?
